Was on Tonight Show in 1979 and 2001 as well as other Shows and stages in my forty two years of Handwhistling.
A bit about my Whistling Style
My Handwhistling involves sealing my cupped hands and blowing a pressurized airstream down through the knuckles of my thumbs, which act as the reed. By compressing the area inside by moving the palms closer or farther away, I produce a two and a half octave range.
Hello :) how are you ? I hope everthing is good 4 you,Hows your whistle going have you learned anything new this year? im trying to learn how to throw my whistle so it can sound like its coming from far...Not easy to explain lol.
Thank you for all your posted videos, Ben. I never would have thought to whistle using my hands, but I'll be practicing now.
The first hour I was discouraged that I could only produce a few notes, but then I realized you're highly accomplished with decades of experience. Rome wasn't built in a day. :o)
how are you? do you whistle everyday when i was 5 yrs old, i never stoped whistling,I drive some people crazy somtimes (LOL) Thanks for your coments :)
Ben, St. Patrick's season always keeps me hopping: Sitting in with a local Irish band at my hometown's st. Paddy's festival March 15, doing a nursing home gig with my Celtic band March 19 and a Pagan festival at a university campus March 22. Most of these gigs will use my pennywhistle and gut-bucket plunking, but I will also whistle about 2 numbers at each gig.

Ben, I don't think that Google Website is currently functioning.l Robert Stemmons is coming to town in a week or so with Circue du Soleil, and he said he's coming over on his day off to help me finalize a Website he started for me about 2 years ago. Sally C.
Thanks for your comments on my video of my performance in Italy.
I've listened to your Autumn Leaves - cool! I have no idea how you can control the tones. Hand whistling is a whole other beast apart from pucker whistling.
Since I play guitar, I need to keep them available for that...and my signature cheeck-slapping pucker whistling...maybe in another life!
Ciao!
