I was honored to whistle for a new Children's worship album in France. They wanted a light and bouncy whistling style sounding much like a man whistling while walking down the street. i hope i got close to what they were looking for. The CD is now selling in France (title: Plus que Vainqueurs; translations: More than Victories). I'm pleased with the overall soun…

Hylton"The Whistler"Brown is a man of countless talents. He can talk, address the word powerful to the audience. Sing in a golden tone of voice, make words reach.Dance or shuffle with high energy. Then again improvisate, change style from singing to DJ to bongo drumming. Lick straight into my heart. But, and this is a but - the highpoints of his performance ever when he touches the whistling. Clean, crystalclear flying spirit. Yes.
His musical road beg…

Today, I posted an ePuccalo composition called ePuccalicous. It's a short piece that I submitted to a synthisizer competition recently...move over guitar and keyboard synth players...the ePuccalo is here!
I put this one together rather quickly and haven't cleaned it up or even mastered it yet, so it's a but raw. In some way that fits the piece's style.
This piece is done completely with my mouth - the bass, percussion and of-course the electronic whistling, but no guita…

10 MPH is an off-beat documentary about someone who travels across the U…

Download 06 Sweet was the Song JBU Cathedral Choir Down Cathedral.wma
This is a beautiful piece I recorded with my Cathedral Choir, again in N. Ireland. I only have a small whistling solo at the front end and then I join the choir for the remainder. However, I do hope you enjoy not only the solo, but the piece in its entirety. The lyrics speak of Mary singing a lullaby to her new born son, Jesus.

Download 08 Vocalise JBU Cathedral Choir Down Cathedral.wma
This one I'm always hesitant to share because the intonation was so difficult to maintain. As we recorded this piece in the DownPatrick Cathedral, N. Ireland, I couldn't actually hear or feel myself sliding sharp until i heard the recording back in the states as they paired it with a choral men's group. Unfortunately I couldn't rerecord anythi…

I love whistling rock tunes - any kind - rock n roll, hard rock, heavy metal and the like. It's really a lot of fun and can be intense :-). Here's me trying out "Highway Star" by Deep Purple - from their "Machine Head" Album.
